The Tyneside Speakers Club meets twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays.
Meetings will resume in September 2011 after the summer break.

Speaking without notes

The speaker who can speak without looking down can spend more time, looking at the audience and developing eye contact. Unconfined by notes, speakers can speak more readily from the heart or from inspiration, they can adapt more quickly to an audience reaction or lack of reaction, speeches tend to be more natural and fluent. Speaking without notes for the first time can be daunting, like all exercises it is best done in front of an audience that is known liked and trusted.

2011-2012 is the start of the TSC’s 40th season.
Pride of place goes to our founder Dennis Parrack who has been with the club since it was formed, following his membership of Toastmasters.
At the AGM in May Dennis was presented with a Founder’s Badge in recognition of his long service to TSC and the Association.
